Smart HR (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides attendance, community and HR features. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

  • Account & contact info you provide (e.g., name, email) to create and support your account.
  • Photos & videos you choose to upload for Community posts and attachments.
  • Location data (while using the app, and background only if you explicitly allow it) to verify employee attendance and prevent spoofing.
  • Device & identifiers such as device model, OS/app version and a push notification token.
  • Diagnostics & analytics (e.g., crash logs, performance and usage) to improve reliability.

How We Use Data

  • Provide core features: attendance verification, Community uploads, push notifications.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, and provide customer support.
  • Analyze performance and improve the app.

Photos, Location & Notifications

  • Photos/Videos: uploaded only when you choose; you can remove your content where available or by contacting us.
  • Location: used to confirm you are at the workplace when marking attendance. We do not continuously track your location unless you enable background access for auto-verification features.
  • Notifications: we use a device push token to deliver updates (e.g., attendance status, interview reminders).

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising. We may share data with trusted service providers strictly to operate the app (e.g., push notifications, real-time messaging, analytics, crash reporting) under data-processing agreements.

Retention

We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion as described below.

Your Choices & Rights

  • Change app permissions anytime in your device settings (Photos, Location, Notifications).
  • Request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

Smart HR is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
